Beginning Pilates Mat
Learn and review the essential fundamentals of
Pilates floor work including breathing, balance,
proper abdominal contraction, stability, and
coordination.
Modifications to accommodate minor back, neck and
knee injuries will be provided. You will begin to
strengthen,
lengthen and condition the body toward better
circulation,
supported postures and improved muscle tone.

Beg/Intermediate Pilates Mat
This class bridges the gap between the basics of a
beginning class and the clip of an intermediate
class. Fundamentals will be reviewed and
intermediate level exercises will be introduced.
Time is allowed for modifications to be explored.
You will improve your range of motion while
gaining core strength.

Intermediate Pilates Mat
Experience the challenge of the dynamic
intermediate level mat and move from your core
for one hour. This class may include stretches
and the use of small equuipment. An understanding
of the fundamentals is required to avoid injury
and frustration.

Intermediate/Advanced Pilates Mat
Intended for those who want to expand their
Pilates movement vocabulary and improve muscular
endurance. This class will expose you to some of
the advanced level mat exercises that incorporate
greater range of motion and upper body strength.

Advanced Pilates Mat
This class moves along at a clip and is a great
workout. Time allowing, all floor exercises will
be covered in their fullest form with smooth
transitions and rhythmic breathing. Modifications
will be the choice of the participant.

Beginng Pilates Equipment
This class is designed to introduce you to the
Pilates equipment including the Universal
Reformer and the Cadillac/Pole system. Your
continued attendance will promote the possibility
of developing a workout on the equipment and
discover how it supports and better informs your
Pilates Mat workout. We require that you have 5-10
mat classes prior to entering so that you have
learned the fundamental principals of Pilates and
have begun to build your Pilates strength. The
class is limited to four participants and
requires a reservation.

Intermediate Pilates Equipment
This is a great way to experience the
invigoration that Pilates offers. The instructor
leads up to four people in a workout on the
reformer and/or pole system emphasizing breath,
transitions and flow. This class is designed for
the intermediate level client and not for those
who are experiencing pain or injury.

Advanced Pilates Equipment
This class is for the diehard. We thread together
advanced Pilates exercises that take twists and
bends to new levels. The class explores exercises
on the low chair, high barrel, cadillac and always
comes back to the reformer workout at
graceful speed. This class is an upbeat and
intelligent workout for the more uniformly developed.

Hatha Yoga
This is a mixed level class. It introduces the
Sun Salutation as a warm-up followed by a series
of poses that include standing(strength),
balancing, forward-bending, backward-bending,
twisting and inverted poses. All poses can be
modified for the individual. Class will end with
relaxation.

Men's Mat
The no frills mat class designed for men. Learn
proper muscle engagement and alignment to improve
the sit-up and push-up you have known for years.
Truly strengthen your core to resist back tweeks,
improve your flexibility with stretching, and
learn skills to help stabilize your pelvis and
articulate your spine. Come learn and own better
posture.

Teen Pilates
This class is particularly important for the teen
who is serious about their sport or performing art
to take care of their body for life and improve
their talent and pursuits. A class for the
teenager to become acquainted with his/her body
and its potential. Despite their youth, this age
group benefits greatly from improved
flexibility, stronger core, and tips on teenage
posture which will offset the rigors of their
daily lives now and in the future. Three 10-class
sessions are offered in a year starting in
January, April, and September. Pre-registration
required.
